Artworks

As well as fashion, Heavy Everywhere® designs are also already in use on selected artworks, most notably in the recent Imagine exhibition at the Chartreuse de Valbonne, France in 2006.

Two large-scale fractal fabric pieces, entitled 'First Steps', were hung in the 'Chapelle d'Etrangers' - the entrance of the medieval monastery. The fractals generated are possibly the largest yet printed on fabric, each final piece being nearly 3m square at 300dpi. This clearly proved an excellent test for large-scale prints, and we hope to exceed that quite considerably in the near future!

'Oui et Non', a hybrid image utilising fractal design combined with 3-dimensional modelling and rendering, was also presented at the Imagine exhibition. Produced on a glass substrate on an acrylic plinth, the image is perhaps the best example yet of the artistic potential inherent in the designs, and is in effect a modern Trompe-l'oeil!
