Much of this work is performed at the Heavy Everywhere Research Laboratory (HERLab) where new designs are put through their paces in simulated CGI fabric tests, eliminating the need for printing the fabric, and also for rapid protoyping of real-world objects, such as umbrellas, furniture and, of course, fashion items. Animations and still CGI renderings can accurately and realistically depict object appearances, and their effects on other objects, particularly using the ambient effects of reflected light. HERLab is currently working on several projects with designers, musicians and artists on proof-of-concept products, and can provide samples or consultations on request. We are always occupied in developing new applications for Heavy Everywhere® designs, and will regularly update the website with new ideas. Please examine the HERLab gallery on the gallery page for protyping examples.

Apart from the fractal plotting and generation process required to produce the intricate patterns seen on Heavy Everywhere® designs, there are many other uses of computer graphics within the company.
